Saturday, June 9th: Meet at Leon Springs Park and Ride at 8:00 a.m. for a 31-mile ride with mostly gently rolling hills and a few more challenging hills on Amman Rd. The ride will take us through Fair Oaks Ranch and then on to Amman Road towards Boerne. We will stop at the Bear Moon Bakery on Main St. in Boerne. (Note: They ask you not to enter if your shoes have cleats that can scar their wooden floors.) For those who wish to avoid the hills on Amman Road, but still want a good excuse to eat pastries at the bakery there is a shorter 23 mile out and back ride from the Park and Ride or an even shorter 15 mile ride along the 23 mile route which will start at 8:30 from the Fair Oaks Village strip Mall on Fair Oaks Parkway across from Frost Bank. Note: for the shorter rides, you will only have a map unless someone wants to volunteer to lead these shorter rides. Directions: Take IH-10 West to Leon Springs/Boerne Stage Road exit (Exit 551). Take a left onto the service road and turn left at the traffic light by Rudy’s BBQ. The Park and Ride will be on your left. For the 15 mile ride, exit IH 10 at Fair Oaks Parkway, turn right and then turn left into the shopping mall. For more information contact ride leader Ann Caldwell at 210-508-8878 or email her at robancald@yahoo.com
