Saturday, January 21^st: Ride starts at 9:00 a.m. from the Park and Ride lot across from Sammy’s Restaurant in Castroville. This is a mostly flat 33 mile ride from the Park ‘n Ride across from Sammy’s restaurant in Castroville to the Exxon station on FM 471 (Culebra) and back to Castroville, where we will have lunch at Sammy’s restaurant.  This is a nice ride for beginners, with safe wide bike lanes for most of the ride.  Stops will be at Rio Medina (a good place to turn around for those who want a shorter ride) and the Exxon station.  Directions: The Park and Ride is located at the intersection of Hwy 90 and FM 471 (Culebra Road).  For more information, contact ride leaders Ann Caldwell at 508-8878 and Bob Caldwell at 260-2584. )
