Saturday, January 14th: We will meet at 10:00 AM at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, which is home to many rare birds, including one of the rarest birds in North America; the whooping crane. We will meet in the parking lot in front of the visitor’s center for a16 mile ride on the paved road which circles the park. Camping is available at Goose Island State Park and at the Riverside RV Park in Tivoli on the Guadalupe River (about 15 miles from the wildlife refuge). There are also many motels in close-by Rockport and in other communities in the area.
